Málaga can boast about having the biggest skatepark of Europe: Rubén Alcántara Skatepark has more than 10.000 square meters! It is a sports facility for the modalities of BMX, skate, rollers and scooters and is equipped with a Bowl designed by the Rider twice world champion Ruben Alcantara (who gives name to the park) , a half pipe, miniramp , a great street square and a new campillo BMX ( dirt track ) with three lines for the practice of this modality.
It officially opened on february 2015 and has already received the visit of Tony Hawk, one of the top skateboarders in the world and Matt Priest, a professional BMX rider. Today, locals and foreigners of all nationalities come together in Malaga through sharing a common interest in riding.
There is a lot of art in this skatepark: exploring each nook, you will find amazing graffitis of one of the most famous local artists: Lalone.
