On Sunday 25th June 2017, in the Malaga’s unique Plaza de Toros, the opening ceremony will feature a team parade and opening speeches, together with several performances intended to surprise participants.

Later a cocktail will be served at Muelle Uno, in the Puerto de Málaga – another unique setting in the heart of the city and close to the harbour and the sea.


On Wednesday 28th June 2017, in the gardens of the Automobile Museum and the Russian Museum, this very special night will feature multicultural activities and performances.


The Closing Ceremony will be held at Malaga’s Athletics Stadium after the completion of the competitions on Saturday July 1st, 2017.

We plan to surprise with participatory activities that raise viewers’ awareness of organ donation.


The closing dinner of these games will be held at Malaga’s Palacio de Ferias y Congresos on Saturday July 1st, 2017.


This will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday the programme will take place at the beach where children can enjoy games and activities adapted to their age group, participating in a really entertaining sports day.

On Thursday the programme will be held at the mouth of the Guadalhorce river and will involve exciting activities such as a kayak gymkhana, archery, orienteering and other activities that will provide enrolled children with an adventure-filled day.


As part of the parallel programme of the World Transplant Games, a march will be held on Tuesday for both participants and citizens of Málaga, aimed at raising awareness of organ donation.

The walk will follow Malaga’s promenade, finishing on the beach with a sampling of the region’s typical skewered sardines. This activity requires registration.
