On Sunday 25th June 2017, in the Malaga’s unique Plaza de Toros, the opening ceremony will feature a team parade and opening speeches, together with several performances intended to surprise participants.

Later a cocktail will be served.

On Wednesday 28th June 2017, in the gardens of the Automobile Museum and the Russian Museum, this very special night will feature multicultural activities and performances.

The Closing Ceremony will be held at Malaga’s Athletics Stadium after the completion of the competitions on Saturday July 1st, 2017.

We plan to surprise with participatory activities that raise viewers’ awareness of organ donation.

As part of the parallel programme of the World Transplant Games, a march will be held on Tuesday for both participants and citizens of Málaga, aimed at raising awareness of organ donation. The walk will follow Malaga’s promenade.

  • Place: Huelin Park

This activity has a limit of 1500 participants, no prior registration is required.



An exhibition football match featuring transplant recipients from many participating countries at the World Transplant Games will be held on Sunday, June 25 at the University of Malaga.

This special event calls attention to a new initiative of the World Transplant Games Federation—the creation of a Football Commission to promote the sport of football or soccer for transplant recipients at all levels of playing ability, from beginners to elite players.  The goal of the Federation is to stage the first Transplant Fooball World Cup in the fall of 2018.
